Let's discuss the rest of the 2012 season...

Next race is the Junk-a-Thon - will be ran as scheduled on Sept. 2nd - Registration is open (erinc@neetsracing.com)! Top 6 in points Small Car drivers ONLY will be urged to arrive EARLY for pre-race technical inspection!!!

Sept. 30th was originally scheduled to be the MUTHA....Kenny Rogers (specifically his wife Colleen) has offered us a chance to make up the lost Fem-Duro from earlier this season when the Spring Fling was rescheduled. Sept. 30th will be the running of the Fem-Duro and will include the following:
100 Lap Big & Small Cars
Twin-15 Vintage Mod Show
50-Lap Ladies Race - Championship Race (Double Points)!!! The Ladies Race will be ran 1st!!! Mainly because most of the ladies out there have their own cars. Clean racing will be urged AND ENFORCED as some drivers must use their same cars to compete in the following Small and Big Car enduros...

OCTOBER 14TH!!! FRESHLY ADDED RACE!!! This will be the date of The MUTHA! Championship Dirt Series event, double points/double purse, Vintage Mods...no Ladies Race... Top ten races will be held as well, new layout as approved by the drivers!!! This will give us a full 8-race schedule for 2012!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!

Now, about the Top Ten races...
Thinking of trying something new that will really get the blood pumping pre-race! Our Series Sponsor, Scott Dunn, cooked this idea up one day and it sounds like a great idea...I'd hope everyone would be as open to this idea as I am!!!

Keep in mind, this is an IDEA at this time and not the "how it will be"...

Top Ten SHOOT-OUTS!
Each driver that is in the top ten in points after the completion of the 7th event (The Fem-Duro) will have the OPPORTUNITY to compete in or PASS on this race. Two drivers starting with 1st in points will race on a muddy/sloppy track, 1 LAP ONLY, winner progresses, loser parks it!
The 2 cars will do a standing start at the line and will go one full lap around the muddy/sloppy track. The idea is that the cars will not be full-out racing and wrecking each other for the money...plus, there won't be a ton of money to grab for each shoot-out! Drivers who win any one-lap bracket will receive $25. A single driver who wins all of the shoot-outs has the potential to win $250!
The top ten in points have the first right of refusal as well....so, if the 1st and 5th place drivers choose NOT to compete...the OPPORTUNITY will be passed back to 11th and 12th place and so on as it goes to the lower points drivers who wish to compete. 10 drivers will compete and 10 driver ONLY....we won't run down through 35 drivers...

Now, the fun part...the money. Scott Dunn has offered to put up the $250 for each division, so drivers will not have to pay ANY entry fees...the only money you will have to worry about is what you can win!

The only rule I am going to make is IF you wreck someone else, you will be stripped of ALL POINTS FOR THE SEASON. So, let's consider really racing out there and not playing games.

Please let us know what you think of this idea...MAJORITY will rule and we will gauge our decision as to how to run the top ten races based on the decision made by the actual top ten drivers after the 7th event. ....so, you will have time to think it over and converse about it!

Until then....update your calendars, let's hear some ideas....pre-register for the next event and let's get ready to race!!!
