Heavy afternoon showers and thunderstorms and the forecast for more into the evening forced Wall Stadium officials to rain out Saturday night’s scheduled events. Although the Modified Twin 35 lap main events have been rescheduled for September 1, management is still looking for a date for the “Pack the Track” festivities.
Wall Stadium speedway will return to action this Saturday night, August 18, with “First Responders Night” festivities. In appreciation for their community service, all First Responders will be admitted free when they show their identification. TQ Midgets, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, Legend Cars, the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club and a Powder Puff race will all be on the agenda.
Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:30 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event takes the green flag at 6:00 p.m. Main events are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
