In conjunction with the Crossroad’s Inn in Mountaintop and C&D Landscaping of Walnutport, Mountain Speedway is proud to announce that the upcoming 4th Annual Brad Kline Memorial Street Stock Shootout will pay a whopping $2300 to the race winner.

Kline, a former Street Stock competitor and champion at the speedway lost his life from an automobile accident in 2009. Since, his family and friends have put on the memorial show at Mountain Speedway and fans have witnessed some of the best finishes in the Street Stock class.

Joe Barbush took the exciting win in 2009 and Chip Wanamaker took the checkers in 2010. Elliot Wohl scored the victory last season with hopes of being the first repeat winner.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 26 and will feature 75-laps of action. Drivers from all over the area are welcome to compete and Mountain Speedway Street Stock rules will be in effect for the popular show. The INEX Legends will also be on the card for the afternoon.

Drivers will be allowed to start the race on two tires from their own track and the right side tires must be the Mountain Speedway track tire. Track officials will mark tires and drivers must run the heat race, consi (if needed) and feature events on the marked tires. The only permitted tire changes will be in the event of a flat during the race. In such cases, track officials will inspect the tires and tire change itself.

During a mandatory 15 minute break on lap 52, with the exception of changing drivers or tires, drivers will be allowed to make any type of changes in the pits to their cars before returning back to the speedway for a 23-lap dash to the finish. The leader of lap 52 will receive a $100 bonus from C&D Landscaping.

The race will feature double file restarts up to the halfway mark and single file restarts will follow for the second half of the show.

Along with the $2300 to win, the runner up will receive $1000 and the pay for third is $500, with a nice payout for the rest of the field. There will be a $25 registration fee, all of which will be included in the race purse. Thirty cars will start the feature event. Also, every driver that attempts to make the show will receive 50 track points and there won't be any transponder rental fee for any Mountain Speedway regulars.

The pit entrance fee for the afternoon is $25 for Mountain regulars and $35 for all others.

Laps for the show are available for sponsorship at $10 each. Those wishing to sponsor laps are asked to see the track announcer at the speedway, or email geno@tylerjett.com for an address to send payment.
