Appreciation of race fans will be the main goal this Saturday Night (Sept. 1) at Wall Stadium as enthusiasts will be rewarded with “Twin 35” lap main events for the Modified stock cars, action for the Sportsman, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and the 4 Cylinder division along with a Powder Puff race and an on-tack party where fans can meet the drivers and a special “Banner Night” competition. Grandstand seating will open and qualifying will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the on track party will start at 6:00 p.m. Modified time trials and all main events will follow.

The pair of 35-lap Modified main events are pivotal in the race for the 2012 driving crown. Former champions Anthony Sesely of Matawan and Chas Okerson of Freehold are at the top of the point standings, but top runners Shanon Mongeau of Farmingdale, Steven Reed of Freehold, Shaun Carrig of Little Falls, Adam LaCicero of Lavallette and Ken Woolley, Jr. of Howell are all expected to be in the field. In addition, according to his Facebook page, “John Blewett Memorial” winner Jimmy Blewett of Howell will return to the speedway to compete in the “Twin 35” lap Modified races.

Also on the card will be the Sportsman cars, Factory Stocks, Street Stocks and the all-new 4 Cylinder division. The Legend Cars will have the night off.

Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 2:30 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event takes the green flag at 5:00 p.m. The “On Track Party” and “Banner Night” festivities are slated for 6:00 p.m. Modified time trials followed by main events for all divisions are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
