After taking nearly a month off after the regular season finale, Wall Stadium Speedway will present the first of two post season special weekends on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21. The “Halloween Spooky Spectacular” will feature all six of the speedway’s regular divisions plus two touring classes and a Demolition Derby. Current plans call for pit area gates to open at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and grandstands to open at noon and action to start at 2:00 p.m. on both days.
Leading the action on Saturday will be the Wall Modified cars competing in a 75 lap main event, while the Sportsman cars will race in a 50 lapper. The Street Stocks, INEX Legend Cars and the visiting Truck Series will each race in 30-lap main events. The visiting TQ Midgets are set for a 25-lap main event.
On Sunday (October 21), The Factory Stocks and the 4 Cylinder cars will each race in a 50-lap main event, while the mechanics in the pit area will also see action in a special Mechanic’s Race. Sunday action will be topped off by the first Demolition Derby to be presented at the oval in over a decade.
Spectator seating will open at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, with the first qualifying event will starting at 2:00 p.m.
Once this weekend is in the books, all attention will turn towards the annual Turkey Derby on Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
