Since there is no sanctioning body for these open events to compile a schedule, I thought I'd start this thread so we can fill it in as events are known and announced. I did notice that Stafford is not running open events this year, after running a few recently.

I'll keep the updated list of open events in this posting, if I fall behind or miss something, please bring it to my attention:

Open Events For 2013

Star - June 15

Seekonk - July 17

Lancaster ( Druar / Jankowiak Memorial) - Aug 17???

Wall - Turkey Derby - Nov. 30

I'm pretty sure it was Stafford. Maybe three or four events over the season in one of the recent years.

That was definitely Thompson with their 40 lap shoot-outs
Here was Thompson's 2011 Schedule: http://yankeeracer.com/2011/01/09/thompson-speedway-releases-2011-schedule/

If you ask me, the VMRS is a weekly open show. How many guys ran every event last year? Six I think. I'm not saying that is good or bad. Merely pointing out that the fields tend to be different from week to week.

BigMac, you are so right. Looks like only six ran the whole season and of that it was a two horse race. Merely attending goes a long way to a championship on the VMRS.
