It looks like this project will move forward, possibly breaking ground later this year. The track, located just west of Buffalo NY will include a 1 mile D-shaped oval as well as a 2.5 mile road course. The oval will include seating for around 65,000 fans. They've made no bones about wanting to attract Nascar. Jeff Gordon has been brought on to help with track design. A 1 mile oval near Buffalo sounds like a natural fit for a future WMT event. This track is not to be confused with the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park that is hosting the Nascar Trucks later this year.
