On Saturday, April 27, Bowman Gray Stadium begins an event 65 years in the making – it’s the start of the legendary track’s 65th season of racing action.

Bowman Gray Stadium has a history unrivaled by any other short track in America. The list of winners and champions is a veritable who’s who of NASCAR, featuring such names as Junior Johnson,
Glen Wood, Ralph Earnhardt, and Richard Petty.

For 64 seasons, the “Madhouse” has been packing in the fans to watch racing reminiscent of the old-school style from long ago: the beating, banging, and bumper-denting aggression that made
NASCAR what it is. And of course, the 65th year is shaping up to be another one that won’t disappoint.

To honor the landmark anniversary, Midway Trailer Rental will bring the crowd Modified Twin-65’s on August 17. This double-header will utilize the infamous Double-File “Choice” Restart Rule,
adding the potential to drastically shake up the points championships which will be decided just one week later.

Also new in 2013 will be the O’Reilly Auto Parts 100 sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts – one of the most crucial races of the season due to the double points that are awarded to the competitors.

For the third year, the K&N Pro Series East will battle in one of the wildest races for their series: the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 at the Stadium. The 150-lapper caps off a two-day weekend that
includes 100-lap Modified races on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1. On Friday, all Stadium divisions will compete, and general adult admission is only $8.

Another two-day event is on the schedule for early August when the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns for a 199-lapper. The Tour Modifieds and three other divisions race on Saturday.
On Friday, Racing Electronics sponsors Twin 50’s for the Stadium Modifieds with racing for four other divisions - and adult admission is just $5.

The Modified Series is brought to fans again in 2013 by Brad’s Golf Cars and Club Car XRT. Classic Muscle sponsors the Sportsman Series for this season, with Q104.1 New Country returning to
sponsor the Street Stock Series and the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway backing the Stadium Stock Series.

A full season of other exciting races is brought to you by Whelen Engineering, G-OIL, the Winston-Salem Journal, Great Clips, Kevin Powell Motorsports, and Carolina Farm Credit.

But it all starts on April 27 with the longest and most prestigious race for the Modifieds – the Hayes Jewelers 200. In addition to the Modified 200-lapper, there will be racing for the Sportsman, Street
Stock, and Stadium Stock Divisions. Qualifying will take place on Friday, April 26. On Saturday, April 27, ticket gates open at 6:00 for practice, and the first race begins at 8:00 PM. Ticket prices, directions,
and more information can be found online at www.bowmangrayracing.com or by calling (336) 723-1819.
