Moms will be in the spotlight at Wall Stadium Speedway this Saturday night (May 11) as the third mile high banked paved oval speedway will offer all moms a reduced admission of $10 to honor the ladies on Mothers Day weekend. On “Mom’s Night,” the stock car speedway will also offer a flowering plant to moms in attendance sponsored by Gasko Flower Farm in Monroe Twp, NJ while supplies last. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying will start at 6:00 p.m. Main events take the green flag at 7:00 p.m.
“Auto racing is famous for being a family sport,” speedway operator Cliff Krause said. “I know that my wife Diane has backed our son Andrew’s racing since the start. Being at the track every week the impact of all the moms is very obvious.
“This should be a good way to honor all the moms who are so important to our sport.”
Early season winners Steven Reed of Freehold and Chris Hamilton of Oakland will lead the powerful Modified stock cars in a 40-lap main event, while early season Sportsman winners Andrew Krause of Holmdel and Elliott Wohl of Freehold will pace that division in a 35-lap main event.
Factory Stock early season winners Joe Mongeau and Ronnie Mullen, both of Brick, are expected to return for their division’s 25-lapper. The Legend Cars will compete in twin feature races led by early season winners Robert French of Howell and Trevor Alspach of Willingboro.
While the Limited Late Models and the 4 Cylinder racers will have the night off, special races for the ladies and for moms will be contested.
Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 2:00 p.m.
The regular afternoon practice session will then begin at 3:00 p.m. and run until 5:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 4:00 p.m.
On track competition will then begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all five divisions at 7:00 p.m.
