Heavy morning showers and more of the same forecast throughout the day forced Wall Stadium officials to rain out auto racing events scheduled for Saturday evening (May 11). Although no decision has been made about the rescheduling of Mother’s Day related events or the feature twin feature races for the Legend Cars, racing will continue this coming Saturday evening (May 18) with grandstand seating opening at 5:00 p.m., qualifying starting at 6:00 p.m. and main event action slated for 7:00 p.m.
This Saturday’s “Little League Night” festivities, where Little Leaguers wearing their team jerseys will be admitted free, will be action packed. The 4 Cylinder division will be in the spotlight with twin main events, while the Sportsman, Limited Late Model and Factory Stock racers will also see action. The Modified and Legend Cars will have the night off.
Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at noon with a paid test session set for 1:00 until 3:30 p.m. The regular afternoon practice session will then begin at 3:00 p.m. and run until 5:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m.
On track competition will then begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all divisions at 7:00 p.m.
Action will then continue on Sunday (May 19) as Wall Stadium kicks off the “Sunday Small-Car Series” starting at noon.
