Racing at Spencer Speedway was canceled Friday, May 24, when all day rains washed the half mile oval.

General Manager, Chuck DeRidder related from the track,” It has been raining all day out here. This place is soaked! Add on top of that the cold and we just have to cancel for tonight.”

On tap was the first Twin 20 lapper for the Sunoco Modifieds of the season. But fans will not be disappointed as Twin-20’s are on the schedule for this Friday, May 31, also.

Joining the Sunoco Modifieds will be a complete program of Super Stocks, Super Sixes, Four Cylinder Scorpions and INEX Legend racing. Race time begins at 7:30 sharp each and every Friday.

A special drag racing exhibition will also be presented to the oval track fans. Last year this exhibition was extremely well accepted by the fans on hand. Then, just one week later, June 7, the cars and stars from the Race of Champions modifieds will be on hand for their annual 75-lap RoC qualifier.

If you bring the ticket stub from the season opener, May 17, you can save a couple of dollars on next week’s admission price.

Spencer Speedway is located just fifteen minutes east of Rochester , NY , along Route 104 in the Town of Williamson . Spencer Speedway is the local “ NASC AR Place to Race” for Central New York in 2013. Points earned each week at Spencer are counted into the national NASCAR Whelen All-American Points.
