Two $1,000 to win, 35-lap Modified feature events set the stage to kick off Memorial weekend Saturday night at Mountain Speedway. Zane Zeiner of Bath, PA wasted no time getting to the lead and beat Brian DeFebo of Berwick, PA to the stripe to take the victory in feature number one. DeFebo however didn’t give up easily in the second feature event, as he bested Zeiner in that show to take his fourth win of the season. Kevin Higgins of Alden, PA notched his first Street Stock win of the year and in dominating fashion, Scott Adams of Lake Ariel, PA took his fifth straight Four Cylinder win of the season, as he continues to be the only driver to visit victory lane in the division this season.

John Fortin, Jr. started from the pole position and led the opening circuit of the first 35-lap Modified feature over John Fortin, Sr, Zane Zeiner, Amber Fortin and Vincent Biondolillo. With one lap complete, Brian DeFebo got by Biondolillo for fifth.

The top six finishers were inverted for feature number two, which put Alan Creveling on the point for the 35-lap show. He led the first lap over Fortin Sr, Zeiner, A. Fortin and DeFebo.

With two laps in the books, the yellow flag flew when DeFebo suffered a flat tire and slowed on the speedway. Quick crew work got him back out and following the restart, Fortin, Sr. took the lead from Creveling and Zeiner followed through for second.

Meanwhile, DeFebo made a charge back toward the front and with five laps complete he got around Creveling for third. After losing the spot, Creveling and Fortin, Jr. battled side by side for fourth, both swapping the position on several occasions.

DeFebo caught and passed Zeiner for second on lap ten and then one circuit later he overtook Fortin, Sr. for the lead. Without any more yellow flags to the finish, Zeiner reeled in Fortin, Sr. and made a bid for second. He nearly reeled in DeFebo in the closing laps but was forced to settle for second, as DeFebo grabbed his fourth win of the season in just six starts.
