Mahoning Valley Speedway has an exciting Saturday night planned for this coming June 8 with its annual Fan Appreciation Night which has become one of the biggest attended shows of the season. Showtime is 6:00 p.m.
And with just $8 for adult grandstand admission it’s easy to see why. Fans will be treated to all six regular track classes which include Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks plus the traveling Micro Stock Racing Series.
During intermission all race cars and drivers will head out on the speedway for a meet and greet with fans. Additionally the popular area rock band, A.D.D. will be performing. There will be plenty of giveaways and surprises throughout the evening that fans have come to expect on Fan Appreciation Night.
Mahoning Valley Speedway fans are some of the most passionate in the business and they eagerly look forward to the trackside intermission and the chance to rub elbows with all their favorite stars of the Lehighton paved quarter mile oval.
Track photographer Jim Young of Jim Young Race Photos will have a host of great deals for those looking to get keepsake autographs.
The racing cars will consist of heats and features for all classes.
Nevin George won his first Modified main of the season last weekend and leads the point standings thanks to the victory. Likewise Frankie Althouse scored his first Late Model win of the year a week ago and he too has taken control of the division rankings. Jeff Parker has the hot setup in the Dirt Mods as he has notched the past two features. The ultra-competitive Street Stock class saw Joe Roberts become the sixth different winner in seven races. Nick Baer now leads the Pro 4 points and Jeff Biegley is seeking his fourth straight Hobby Stock victory.
Pit gates open at noon. There will be early paid practice from 12:30 to 3:00 at $25.00 per car. Regular warm-ups will be held from 4:00 – 5:00. Adult general admission is $8. $2.00 off for students, seniors 65 + and active military, must have ID. Children 10 and under are free.
