It is sad to report, per the Courant, and the above link, Ted and Mike's father passed away on Wednesday. He was a great supporter of the racing careers of both, and was a fun guy to have conversations with at any time.

How come Mike Christopher doesn't race anymore?

I don't want to answer for Mike, but I "assume" the 3 main reasons are; the expense, getting together a good crew, and working with his son, Mike Jr. who is currently racing a legends car. (He still has his tour mod in his shop)
