Appreciation of race fans will be the main goal this Saturday Night (July 6) at Wall Stadium as enthusiasts will be rewarded with a 50-lap championship race for the Factory Stocks, plus action for the Modified stock cars, Sportsman racers, Limited Late Models and the 4 Cylinder division. Also on tap for the Independence Day weekend Saturday night schedule is an on-tack party where fans can meet the drivers and a special “Banner Night” competition. Grandstand seating will open at 4:00 p.m. and the on track party will start at 4:30 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:00 p.m. and main event racing will follow.

The Factory Stocks fill the spotlight with their 50-lap main event led by defending champion and two-time main event winner Scott Riggleman of Manchester. Brick’s Ronnie Mullen, Steve Michel of Egg Harbor, Wall’s Roy Farfel and lady racer Tiffany Olejnik, also of Wall, are expected to see action.

The Modified 40-lap main event is important in the race for the 2013 driving crown. Eric Mauriello of Howell, a former Sportsman driving champion, is at the top of the point standings, but top runners Steven Reed and Chas Okerson, both of Freehold, Shaun Carrig of Little Falls, Adam LaCicero of Lavallette and Shawna Ingraham of Brick are all expected to be in the field.

Also on the card will be the Sportsman cars, Limited Late Models and the 4 Cylinder division. The beautifully restored cars of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will also serve an important role during the evening with a static display in the grandstands and a rolling exhibition on the track. The Legend Cars will have the night off.

Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 2:30 p.m. Grandstands will open at 4:00 p.m. and the “On Track Party” and “Banner Night” festivities are slated for 4:30 p.m. Main events for all divisions are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Action will then continue on Sunday (July 7) as Wall Stadium presents the “Sunday Small-Car Series” starting at noon.
