This Saturday, July 20, Mountain Speedway is extending the invite to racers from other area asphalt tracks to compete on the 1/3-mile oval. The Modifieds are on the card with a regular feature and the Late Models (50 laps), Street Stocks (40 laps), Factory Stocks (30 laps) and Four Cylinders (30 laps) will have extended lap features, using the cone style racing format. Double points will also be given out for all divisions.

Any non-regular Mountain Speedway asphalt driver from the tri-state area is invited to compete and the speedway will honor his or her pit license. The visiting drivers must meet their home track rules and they will be allowed to compete on their home track tire, plus they will receive one free grandstand pass.

The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will be making their second visit of the season to the track earlier that day, so the pits will open one hour later than usual, making the pit open time at 3 PM. Practice is slated to begin at 4 PM and heat races will start at 6 PM.

Two dates have been selected for the annual Autograph and Camera Night. The first will be on Saturday, August 10 for the Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and 4-Cylinders. The second will consist of the Modifieds and Late Models. It will take place on Saturday, August 17.

Mountain Speedway is just minutes from Hazleton, Pa, located on St. John’s Road, between Routes 93 and 309. Grandstand admission for all regular events is just $10 for ages 11 and older. Children 10 years of age and younger are admitted for free. Please visit www.mountainspeedway.com for the news and up to date information regarding the historic speedway.
