Fans of the professional stock car auto racing at Wall Stadium Speedway will have the chance to celebrate the Christmas season a little early this Saturday night (July 27) as the third mile high banked oval will present “Christmas in July Night.” A full auto racing program will be presented with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m., qualifying beginning at 6:00 p.m. and main event racing starting at 7:00 p.m.

A Demolition Derby and Enduro racing program scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.

For Saturday’s “Christmas in July Night” fans are encouraged to wear holiday clothing and note that fans wearing Santa hats will receive an ice cream bar. Classic holiday songs will play over the track’s public address system during the festivities and fans can participate in a special Christmas trivia contest.

On the third mile high banked paved oval the cars and stars of Wall Stadium’s 4 Cylinder division will be in the spotlight in a 50-lap main event that was postponed by the extreme heat on July 20. Todd Pilla of Beachwood, Wall’s Brien Crosby, Long Island speedsters Mike Wahl and Jay Conrad and Jerry Stanzione of Keansburg will be among the favorites.

In addition to the 4 Cylinder stock cars, the TQ Midgets, Sportsman cars, Limited Late Models and the Factory Stocks will all see action. A special Ladies’ Race using the Factory Stock cars will also be contested. A special motorcycle stunt show will be presented by the “Down For Life” crew.

The pit area will open at 2:00 p.m. and regular afternoon practice session will then begin at 3:00 p.m. Spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m.

On track competition will begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all divisions at 7:00 p.m.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B. The speedway hotline number is 732-681-6400, while CKMotorsports@aol.com is the track’s email address. More information is also available at www.wallspeedwayracing.com.
