This coming Saturday evening, August 3 at Lehighton’s Mahoning Valley Speedway, race fans will certainly get their fill of action at the popular paved quarter mile oval.

Aside from the complete regular show for all track classes the card will also include the postponed Late Model and Street Stock features from July 27 plus the touring 4c Super Mods and at intermission racing’s up and coming future stars will have the opportunity to take laps as kart and quarter midget competitors have been invited to partake in an exhibition.

Please note that racing has been moved up to a 5:30 p.m. start time due to the extra activities. Adult general admission is $12.

The rescheduled Late Model and Street Stock features will be up first. The grids are set for those features and no new entries will be permitted. Afterwards a compete show of Modifieds, Late Models, Street stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4’s, Hobby Stocks and the 4C Super Mods will get underway.

There will be early paid practice from 12:30 to 3:00 at $25.00 per car. Regular warm-ups will be held from 4:00 – 5:00.

The following Saturday, August 10, the second half of the July 27 rain delayed Mahoning Modified Madness Series 50 lap main will be run as part of that evening’s show which is Checkered Flag Fan Club Night (CFFC).

Rick Kirkendall won the first of the twin 50s this past Saturday but unfortunately rained moved in soon after and the remainder of the evening’s races where halted.

August 10 will also be a 5:30 p.m. start and $12 adult general admission. The track has waived the tire rule for the Modified 50 make-up race that was in place on July 27.

At the completion of the Modified 50 there will be a full slate presented that includes qualifying heats and features for Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks. Additionally the American Three Quarter Midget Racing Association TQ’s will be part of the CFFC Night.

Representatives for the CFFC will be making their annual stop at Mahoning Valley to renew memberships as well take on all newcomers.
