Mahoning Valley Speedway races for this evening, August 3, are on. Despite the damp weather conditions that are crossing through the area this morning, the forecast is much more favorable for the evening. After a close observation of the day’s weather promoter Floyd Santee is confident that they can get the races in.
Action begins at 5:30 p.m.
The rescheduled Late Model and Street Stock features will be up first. The grids are set for those features and no new entries will be permitted. The Late Model race will resume from lap two.
Afterwards a compete show of Modifieds, Late Models, Street stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4’s, Hobby Stocks and the 4C Super Mods will get underway.
There will be early paid practice from 12:30 to 3:00 at $25.00 per car. Regular warm-ups will be held from 4:00 – 5:00.
At intermission racing’s up and coming future stars will have the opportunity to take laps as kart and quarter midget competitors have been invited to partake in an exhibition.
The following Saturday, August 10, the second half of the July 27 rain delayed Mahoning Modified Madness Series 50 lap main will be run as part of that evening’s show which is Checkered Flag Fan Club Night.
