In dominating fashion and in his first Late Model start of the season, Travis Fisher of Fern Glen went to victory lane Saturday night. After suffering engine problems earlier in the year, Chris Burge of Mountaintop grabbed his fourth Street Stock feature win of the season and also from Mountaintop, Paul Morgan, Sr. notched his second career Factory Stock verdict in the make up event from last weekend. Larry Spencer III of Nanticoke wired the double points Four Cylinder feature and then finished as the runner up to Scott Adams of Lake Ariel, who drove off to his eleventh Four Cylinder win in the make up event from last weekend. In his first factory Stock start of the year, Brandon Oltra of Alden wheeled his way to the feature win in the regularly scheduled event. Kerry Higgins of Alden drove away with her second ladies’ race of the season to cap off the evening.

Riley Moczulski led the Late Model field to the drop of the green flag in the 3-lap feature and was overtaken by Mark Tyson before a lap was complete. Mitch Hawk ran in third, followed by Travis Fisher and Glenn Slocum.

Fisher moved to third and then with two laps complete, he grabbed second from Moczulski. One lap later he took the top spot from Tyson and began to set sail.

The yellow flag waved on lap 11 when Tyson spun on the backstretch. Green flag racing resumed and Hawk, who ran in the second spot, lined up along side the leader for the restart. Once again, Fisher set sail on the restart and Hawk settled in.

Following a yellow with 10 laps remaining, Travis continued to show the way over Hawk, Slocum, Moczulski and Tyson, but that all changed after Moczulski moved to third and then challenged Hawk for second. The pair swapped paint several times before getting together in turn four with fiver laps remaining.

The final five laps were caution-free and Fisher grabbed the victory. Hawk settled for second, followed by Tyson, Slocum and Moczulski.

Heat race wins went to Travis Fisher and Mitch Hawk.

Bernie Uphold led the Street Stock field to the green flag in the 25-lap feature, but Chris Burge took the lead early on and Kevin Higgins shot by Uphold to take second shortly after.

Close racing action for the third spot set the pace for most of the show, as Robert Fink and Aaron Higgins battled with Uphold for third.

Despite efforts by K. Higgins in the late stages of the show, Burge took the checkers for the fourth time this season. K. Higgins was forced to settle for second, followed by Uphold and Fink. Owen Grennan edged A. Higgins to the stripe for fifth, which is his best career finish in the division to date.

Heat race victories went to Bernie Uphold and Randy Schlenker.

After winning the heat race last weekend and then having the feature rained out, Del Morgan led the Factory Stock field to the drop of the green flag in the 20-lap feature. D. Morgan led the first lap over Paul Morgan, Sr, Stephen Michel III, Mitch Hawk and Frank Katona before Hawk climbed to third on lap two.

With D. Morgan leading the way and with five laps complete, D. Morgan pushed up the track, which allowed P. Morgan to take the top spot. Hawk found the opportunity to snag second at the same time.

Despite heavy pressure from Hawk in the late going, P. Morgan took the checkers for his second win of the year. Hawk crossed the strip in second, followed by D. Morgan, Michel and Matt Mattern, Jr.

After splitting heat race wins with Brandon Oltra, D. Morgan started from the point in the regularly scheduled Factory Stock 20-lapper. Hawk grabbed the lead and D. Morgan settled into second, followed by Mattern, Oltra and Michel.

Hawk led over D. Morgan until lap nine when he slowed. The yellow flag was displayed and D. Morgan inherited the lead over Mattern and Oltra.

Green flag racing resumed and Mattern spun in turn four, which moved Oltra into second for the restart.

The second half of the race went green to checkered and with three laps remaining, Oltra grabbed the lead. He grabbed the checkered for the first time this season in his first start of the season in the division. D. Morgan finished a career-best second, followed by Michel and Mattern.

Larry Spencer III started from the pole position in the 20-lap Four Cylinder make up feature from last weekend. He led lap one over John Banashefski, Harry O’Neill. Heather Fennell and Eric Banashefski.

Scott Adams wasted no time cracking the top five and with two laps in the books he got by H. Fennell for fourth and tried to reel in J. Banashefski, who battled hard with Spencer.

Following a lap 13 yellow involving Frank and Justin Hughes, Adams took second from J. Banashefski and set his sights on Spencer. Even with the caution coming with just five laps remaining, Spencer held off Adams to score his first win of the season. O’Neill, E. Banashefski and J. Banashefski completed the top five.

The heat race winners on July 27 were Scott Adams and heather Fennell.

H. Fennell led the Four Cylinders to the drop of the green in the originally scheduled 30-lap double points feature and she led the first circuit over j. Banashefski, E. Banashefski, J. Hughes and O’Neill.

With four laps complete, E. Banashefski got by Fennell for the lead and then following a yellow flag for a stalled Spencer car, Adams got by H. Fennell and J. Hughes for second.

Adams raced hard with E. Banashefski and then grabbed the lead on lap eight. E. Banashefski however fought back and tried to regain the position on lap 10. The two raced hard and then touched in turn four and the end result was a flat tire for E. Banashefski.

Adams held the lead over J. Banashefski, H. Fennell, J. Hughes and Spencer for the restart. Spencer and E. Banashefski wasted no time moving forward.

With 16 laps into the event, Spencer took third from J. Hughes and then overtook J. Banashefski for the runner up spot on lap 23. E. Banashefski followed and took third on lap 25 as Spencer reeled in Adams.

In a fight to the finish, Adams held off Spencer and E. Banashefski to claim his eleventh victory of the season. O’Neill and J. Banashefski completed the top five.

Heat race victories went to Justin Hughes and John Banashefski.
