True American heroes, the First Responders who serve our communities, will be honored at Wall Stadium Saturday (Aug. 10) night during a full card of stock car auto racing. Police, fire and first aid members who display proper identification at the grandstand ticket booth will be admitted free of charge. Grandstand seating opens at 5:00 p.m., with qualifying set for 6:00 p.m. and main events planned for 7:00 p.m.
On the third mile high banked paved oval the cars and stars of Wall Stadium’s Sportsman division will be in the spotlight in 25-lap main events. Former champion Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck, Brick’s Dom Fattaruso, Andrew Krause of Holmdel and brothers Trevor and Zack Alspach, both of Willingboro, will be among the favorites in the field.
Multi-time champ Chas Okerson will lead the way in the companion 40-lapper for the Modified cars. Okerson will see competition from veterans Chris Hamilton of Oakland, Christian and Adam LaCicero, both of Lavallette, and Jason Treat of Jackson. Young drivers will also be in contention as Eric Mauriello of Howell, Brick’s Shawna Ingraham and Chris Lane of Howell are among the young lions.
In addition to the Sportsman and Modified stock cars, the Limited Late Models, Factory Stocks and the 4 Cylinder racers will also see action.
The pit area will open at 2:00 p.m. and regular afternoon practice session will then begin at 3:00 p.m. Spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m.
On track competition will begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all divisions at 7:00 p.m.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months.
