Mahoning Valley Speedway will be in action two days this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25.
On Saturday the popular Lehighton paved quarter mile oval will present a six division show of all regular track classes with Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks plus the Micro Stock Racing Series will be in action as well making for full and exciting night of short track racing. There will also be Kids Big Wheel racing during intermission.
All classes will run in heats and features. Grandstands open at 4:00 p.m. with racing slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. Adult general admission is $12. $2 off for students, seniors 65+ and active military. Kids 10 and under are free.
There will be early paid practice from 1:00 to 3:00 at $25.00 per car. Regular warm-ups will be held from 4:00 – 5:00.
The following afternoon Enduro racing returns to Mahoning with a pair of feature events for the Big Car and Small Car Enduro racers.
Both events will be run in a timed format and will also be held rain or shine.
Pit gates will open at noon, grandstands at 12:30 and racing is set to get underway at 2:00 p.m. sharp. Front gate admission is $7. For those entering the pits the cost is $15. There is a $50 entry fee for participants which includes the cost of the car and one person to the pits.
The winner of each Enduro will receive $400 with $300 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd and $100 to 4th. Dependent upon car counts those numbers may be increased.
