Saturday night stock car auto racing and Sunday afternoon Demolition Derby and Enduro racing action will make up an exciting doubleheader weekend at Wall Stadium. On Saturday night grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. with qualifying at 6:00 p.m. and main events at 7:00 p.m. On Sunday afternoon grandstand seating opens at noon with action starting at 1:00 p.m.
Four racing divisions, headlined by the Sportsman racers in a 50-lap championship race, will head “2 Cool 4 School” night. As a part of this promotion students ages 7 to 17 who display an appropriate ID card at the ticket booth will enjoy an admission discount.
On the track title contenders Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck, Trevor Alspach of Willingboro, Kevin Davison of Howell and last week’s winner Andrew Krause of Holmdel will be among the Sportsman drivers to watch. In addition to the Sportsman cars, the Limited Late Models, Legend Cars and 4 Cylinder racers will all see action.
The pit area will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and practice will then begin at 3:00 p.m. Spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. On track competition will begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all divisions at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday’s card will be action packed as cars will be destroyed in front of the grandstand crowd in a championship Demolition Derby. Also on the bill will be a 100-lap raced for 8 cylinder cars and a 100-lapper for the 4 cylinder racers. A ladies’ Powder Puff race is also on Sunday’s agenda. Grandstand gates open at noon and action starts at 1:00 p.m.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays through September and special events in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
