With just two regular season Saturday night events left on the Wall Stadium schedule point battles are tight for the 2013 divisional driving championships. The Modified stock cars return this Saturday night along with the Sportsman cars, Factory Stocks Limited Late Models and the 4 Cylinder racers. The ultra fast TQ Midgets will also be on the card and a Ladies’ Race will be presented with grandstand seating opening at 5:00 p.m., qualifying at 6:00 p.m. and main events at 7:00 p.m.

Modified action will see former champion Chas Okerson of Freehold seeking to put some distance between him and the talented field. Still, Howell’s Eric Mauriello, Holmdel’s Andrew Krause, Jonathan Mandato of Toms River, Howell’s Chris Lane and Oakland’s Chris Hamilton will be among those trying to tally points and taste 40-lap main event glory.

Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck, Trevor Alspach of Willingboro, Kevin Davison of Howell and Andrew Krause of Holmdel will be among the Sportsman drivers to watch in their 30-lap main event and the title chase. In addition to the Modified and Sportsman cars, the Factory Stocks led by point leader Ronnie Mullen of Brick, Limited Late Models with point leader Brian Doyle and 4 Cylinder racers with top point man Mike Wahl will all see action.

The pit area will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and practice will then begin at 3:00 p.m. Spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. On track competition will begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all divisions at 7:00 p.m.

The speedway will also be busy on Sunday with the “Small Car Series.” Sunday action starts at noon.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays through September and special events in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
