Drivers and team of the kart racers at Wall Stadium Speedway are looking at one of their biggest paydays ever when the first ever “War at the Shore” is presented on the fifth mile “inner oval” This Saturday (10/12). An impressive $1,000 will go to the winner of both the 20-lap Animal Champ Kart and the 20-lap Flat Head Champ Kart feature. In addition, the driver with the best overall average finish between the two races will pocket a $500 bonus. Twenty-six karts will start each race.

Presented by Hamer Heating, Cooling and Refrigeration, festivities will begin on Friday with technical inspection starting at 10:00 A.M. Friday practice will then run from noon until 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday, inspections begin at 8:00 a.m. with practice slated for 10:30 a.m. Qualifying is then set for 12:30 p.m. with features scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at noon In the event of bad weather on Saturday the “War at the Shore” will be contested on Sunday.
Although the Saturday night regular season has concluded, plenty of fall action remains on the schedule. After this weekend’s “War at the Shore” stock cars will return for the annual “Spooky Spectacular” on October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Featuring a 75-lap main event for the Modifieds and a full card of auto racing, the “Spooky Spectacular” will also offer remote control cars, face painting, bounce house and free pumpkins for the children. The 2013 season then ends on Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend with the annual “Turkey Derby.”
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays through September and special events in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
