Stafford Motor Speedway will open its doors for business in 2014 with its traditional Spring Motorcycle and Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets. The Spring Motorcycle Swap Meet is the first event on the 2014 SMS Calendar of events, and is scheduled for Sunday, March 30. The 28th Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet will be the following Sunday, April 6th.
The Motorcycle Swap Meet features an abundance of everything motorcycles, from parts and pieces to leather jackets and other accessories. The Motorcycle meet will also have an antique/custom bike show and music from Ron Jones and The Carptones. The Motorcycle meet is rain or shine, and the gates open at 7:00am on Sunday, April 7th, and the meet ends at 4pm. Admission is just $10. Vendor spaces are priced at $30. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome at the swap meet. There will be additional Motorcycle Swap Meets at Stafford on June 29th and October 26th. The 28th Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet features an abundance of everything automotive, from complete cars all the way down to suspension and engine parts. There will also be a Car Corral for FOR SALE ONLY vehicles. Admission for the Ty-Rods meet is $11. The gates for the Ty-Rods meet will open at 7:00am, and the meet is rain or shine. Vendor spaces for the Ty-Rods meet measure approximately 10' by 20', and cube vans need at least two spaces. Vendor space price is $50 and can be paid at the gate. The car corral is a limited area and fills up on a first come, first serve basis. The price to display a car in the corral is $30 per vehicle. Ty-Rods returns to Stafford Speedway for the 41st Annual Fall Ty-Rods Swap Meet on Sunday, October 19th at SMS. Stafford Motor Speedway kicks off its 2014 NASCAR racing season with the 43rd annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler on April 26th-28th. The weekend will consist of the 200-lap NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, a 40-lap SK Modified® feature, a 30-lap Late Model feature, 20-lap feature events for both the SK Light Modified and Limited Late Model divisions, a 15-lap DARE Stock feature, and a 25-lap feature for the Northeast Mini Stock Tour.
Tickets for 43rd Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler are on sale now and can be obtained by calling the speedway office at 860-684-2783 or by stopping by the office in person. Tickets for "The Greatest Race In the History of Spring" are priced at $38.50 for Adult General Admission, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is available for $42.00. All tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday admission to the Sizzler.
