Big $$ Features Headline April 12 Race Card

The 2014 season at Lehighton’s Mahoning Valley Speedway if fast approaching as the Saturday evening, April 12 lid-lifter is building up as a fantastic night of asphalt short track stock car racing.

All six track classes, Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks will be in action. Racing gets underway at 6:00 p.m. and when it does fans will be served a full plate of non-stop racing as the line-up calls for a four big paying features.

The Modifieds will be the headliner as the premier class will run 100 laps and pay $4000 to win. This will be the highest paying 100 lap feature ever run at Mahoning Valley and all of the top guns will be on hand including defending track champion Eric Beers who has a record nine 100 lap wins.

Late Models, Street Stocks and Dirt Mods will also battle in extra distance mains that will reward each winner handsomely for their efforts.

50 laps will be the run for the Late Models with $1200 to the winner. $1000 first place prize money will go to the Street Stock and Dirt Mod victors respectively. Street Stocks which will compete in a 50-lapper while the Dirt Mods will go 40. Regular features for the Pro 4s (20 laps) and Hobby Stocks (15 laps) will also take place.

In order to get racers ready for the new season, Test and Tune days are slated for this coming Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30 and Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6. Both Saturday track times will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. while Sunday activity goes from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is free on all Test and Tune days. Pit entrance is $10 per person and $25 per car.

Any race team that wishes to have the same pit parking spot from the previous year is reminded that March 30 will be the final day to reserve and pay for the space, afterwards it will be first come first serve.
