Mahoning Valley Speedway was forced to cancel its Saturday night racing program due to inclement weather.
Despite the fact the pits were filled with race cars, rain showers crossed over the speedway at 4:00 p.m. and after careful watch of the radar which showed more of the wet stuff for later in the evening, it was decided to best cancel for the night rather than risk trying to race.
The scheduled Modified 100 lap feature will not take place on Saturday, May 10 along with all regular track divisions, the Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks plus there will be a Small Car Enduro at the conclusion of the night.
The Micro Stock Racing Series, which was slated for May 3, will return on June 7 for Fan Appreciation Night.
