Mahoning Valley Speedway was forced to cancel its Saturday night, May 3 racing program due to rain, which was to be headlined by a 100 lap Modified feature.

That race, plus all regular track classes as well as a Small Car Enduro will all be held this coming Saturday evening, May 10 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The Modified race will be worth $3500 to the winner. This will be the second100 lapper of the 2014 season. Point leader Eric Beers raced away to the first one on Opening Night, April 12. It was his 10th career win in a 100-lap feature. Since then he has wheeled to three straight top five finishes and holds a 25 point lead over Roger Coss.

There will be an solid cast of Modified aces set to compete that includes the tough-as-nails Mahoning regulars as a well as number of outsiders who all combine to make these extra distance features the staple of Modified shows.

Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks will all be part of the night’s action and the evening will conclude with a Small Car Enduro.

Entries for the Enduro have been building and the timed affair should see a great field of cars. Last year the popular endurance events saw Mahoning’s Enduro kingpin Lonnie Behler notch his 20th career win with the class along with Ross Gursky and the versatile Earl Paules. All three are planning to be in the race.

Complete Enduro rules can be found on the track’s website at www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com.

Track management would like to remind all those with pit wrist bands from last week’s cancellation that they will be honored for the next two weeks, May 10 and 17.

Saturday’s adult grandstand admission is $20 with $2.00 off main gate price for students, seniors 65+ and active military, must have ID. Children 10-years and under are free with a paying adult. Grandstands open at 4:00 p.m.

Early paid practice runs from 1:00 to 3:00. Regular practice is 4:00 – 5:00. Qualifying heats begin at 6:00. All starting spots will be set via heat and consolation races.
