Due to an impending weather forecast of rain and thunderstorms Mahoning Valley Speedway has canceled its Saturday night, May 10 racing program.

The main event was to be a $3500 to win 100-lap feature for the Modified division. At the present time there has not been a decision on when or if that race will be made up. This was the second week that the track had canceled the 100-lap show.

Enduro rules can be found on the track’s website at www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com.

There will also be a Car Cruise that will be held during intermission and runs in conjunction with a car show starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Mahoning Valley Farmers Market which is adjacent to the speedway.

May 17 will also be Pocono Raceway Night. Representatives from Pocono, including track mascot Tricky the Fox, will be at Mahoning to hand out select tickets for the upcoming races at the “Tricky Triangle” which include the Pocono ARCA 200 on June 7, the Pocono NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400 race on June 8 and the Pocono INDYCAR 500 Fueled by Sunoco on July 6.

Track management would like to remind all those with pit wrist bands from the May 3 cancellation that they will be honored for the next two weeks, May 17 and 24.

Saturday’s adult grandstand admission is $12 with $2.00 off main gate price for students, seniors 65+ and active military, must have ID. Children 10-years and under are free with a paying adult. Grandstands open at 4:00 p.m.
