The first event of the Friday Night Concert Series at Evergreen Raceway Park is slated for this Friday night. From 7-11PM concertgoers are urged to come out to the speedway to see “Bad Hair Day”, a popular band that definitely helps bring back the feel of the 1980s through the early 1990s. Admission for the show is only $10 ($50 a car load) and visitors to the track are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair so they can sit back and take in the show. They are also invited to bring their beverage of choice, as long as there aren’t any glass bottles. Offering great food deals, the speedway concession stand will also be open.
The speedway will host its first Saturday night auto racing show under the lights at the famed 1/3-mile asphalt track. On tap for the night are the ground pounding Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and Dirt Modifieds. The grandstands will open at 5 PM and heat racing will kick off at 6 PM. The speedway is also offering free grandstand admission for all veterans (must show valid I.D.). Grandstand admission is $10 and children 12 years of age and younger are admitted for free.
