September 19th Added to 2014 Event Schedule
Due to rainy weather conditions, Stafford Motor Speedway has canceled its Summer Blast-Off program that was scheduled for Friday, June 13th. With the Summer Blast-Off becoming the fourth rain out of the 2014 season, Stafford Motor Speedway has added Friday, September 19 to its 2014 event schedule. The DARE Stock Xtra Mart Xtra D feature that was originally scheduled as part of tonight’s Summer Blast-Off program will move to next Friday’s Town Fair Tire VMRS 80 program and the fireworks will move to Friday, July 11th. The Limited Late Model Xtra D feature will be moved to Friday, June 27th.
“We want our competitors to have as many opportunities as possible to race for NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national points,” said Stafford COO/GM Mark Arute. “With the number of rainouts we’ve had thusfar during the season, adding the September 19th date was a logical step for us to give our drivers and teams another opportunity to accumulate national points.”
Stafford Motor Speedway returns to racing action next Friday night with the Valenti Modified Racing Series making its first of three visits during the 2014 season for the Town Fair Tire 80. In addition to the VMRS cars, the SK Modifieds® and DARE Stocks will be racing their Xtra Mart Xtra D feature events, while Stafford’s other three weekly divisions will all be racing their normal distances.
Tickets for the June 20th Town Fair Tire Valenti Modified Racing Series 80 are available and on sale now at the Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $27.50 for adult general admission tickets, $5.00 for kids ages 6-14, and kids 5 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating will be priced at $30.00 for all ages. All ticket prices include 10% CT Admission Tax. Stafford Speedway offers free parking with free overnight parking for self-contained RV’s available.
The VMRS cars return to Stafford on July 18 for the 4th Annual Lincoln Tech 80 and again on August 29 for the 5th Annual VMRS 80.
