It was recently announced that Evergreen Raceway Park would give Friday night racing a try. Following one Friday night show and then one rain out, track management has made the commitment to continue with racing under the lights on Friday nights until the speedway switches back to the originally scheduled Sunday afternoon shows, beginning in late August/early September. Furthermore, the Enduro event that was scheduled for Sunday, June 22 has been cancelled, but the Enduros are more than welcome to compete with Evergreen’s regular Pure Stocks and Four Cylinder divisions on Friday, June 20.

Four Cylinder Enduro drivers are invited to compete with the regular Four Cylinder division and the 6/8-cylinder Enduros are invited to race with the Pure Stock class on Friday, June 20. Although the drivers of similar yet different classes will race together, they will be scored separately for points, meaning that the highest finishing Enduro car will receive first place Enduro points, etc. There will not be an Enduro registration fee and the drivers who compete as Enduros must race under Enduro rules. The must sign in as such at the registration window in the pit office.

The Enduro drivers will be paid where they actually finish in Four Cylinder or Pure Stock feature, which means that the Enduro payout schedule will not apply to this special event. The regular division payout for the Pure Stock and Four Cylinder divisions is available on the speedway website.

Management is trying to build the class to host Enduros more often as a class of their own following the conclusion of several regular shows.

The gain back consistency, the speedway schedule, including the divisions that will run on a weekly basis will be updated in the very near future.

The next event at Evergreen Raceway Park is slated for Friday, June 20. The Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and INEX Legends are on the card. The pit gates will open at 6 PM and practice is slated to begin at 7:15. Heat races will kick off at 8 PM.

Pit Admission at the track is $25 (With Pit License) and $35 without. It is NOT required to purchase a season pit license to compete. As always, grandstand Admission is $10 for adults and children 12 & under are admitted for free.

Evergreen Raceway Park is just minutes from Hazleton, Pa, located on St. John’s Road, between Routes 93 and 309. For more information, including upcoming shows, rules, payouts and news, please visit www.evergreenracewaypark.com.
