A large amount of rain on Thursday, proceeded by flooding an water seepage up through the racing surface afterward forced the track management at Evergreen Raceway Park to pull the plug on Friday’s schedule of events for July 4.
“There is flowing water across turn one and water is seeping in turn four. We are unsure if we can prevent the flow. So due to the distance many of our drivers travel, we are canceling our show for today”, noted track manager, Ron Babula.
The Modified “Twin 25s” that were slated for July 4 will be rescheduled at a later time.
The next event at Evergreen Raceway Park is slated for Friday, July 11. The Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and INEX Legends are on the card. The pit gates will open at 6 PM and practice is slated to begin at 7:15. Heat races will kick off at 8 PM.
Pit Admission at the track is $25 (With Pit License) and $35 without. It is NOT required to purchase a season pit license to compete. As always, grandstand Admission is $10 for adults and children 12 & under are admitted for free.
