Small Car Enduro on racing card
Cassi Pinder, winner of the year’s Miss Motorsports pageant that was held in January at Motorsports 2014, will be visiting Mahoning Valley Speedway this Saturday, July 12. Cassi will be signing autographs and be available for photos throughout the evening as well as assisting in Victory Lane ceremonies.
The racing card will consist of all six track classes, Modified, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro4s and Hobby Stocks running in regular distance features.
Also, the evening will conclude with a Small Car Enduro paying a guaranteed minimum $400 to win. On May 17 Randy Ahner Jr., enjoyed a fruitful night when he led every lap of the Street Stock feature than did the same in the Small Car Enduro.
The track will be hosed down with water for the Enduro race which adds a bit of spice to the playing field. Complete Enduro rules can be found on the track’s website at www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com
With the start of the second half of the season getting underway, there are some very tight point battles including the headline division of Modified where Earl Paules holds a slim 14 point edge over last week’s winner Kris Graver and 22 ahead of Nevin George.
Paules is also the Late Model leader in the standings. The Street Stocks show former champ TJ Gursky up 15 over Jillian Long. Despite being 1-2 in the points, neither driver has tasted victory as of yet.
Pit gates open at noon. There will be early paid practice from 1:00 to 3:00. Regular warm-ups will be held from 4:00 – 5:00. Adult general admission is $12.
