Event features open $1,000 to win Street Stock and Mini Stock races
Waterford, CT (July 10, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl is in action on a
special night this week when The Little Guys 200 presented by Belltown
Tire and Auto Center hits the track Friday night. Four divisions will
each compete in 50-lap feature races, highlighted by $1,000 to win open
Mini Stock and Street Stock events. The Legend Cars and four cylinder
X-Cars will each have events paying $500 to win. The track is dark
Saturday for summer break from its NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
action, which resumes July 19.
The Speedbowl welcomes competitors from tracks around the northeast to
participate in each of Friday’s four events. INEX Legend Cars rules will
be in place for their 50-lapper and the Speedbowl’s Wednesday night X-Car
division rules will serve as the basis for the 50-lap four-cylinder X-Car
race. Competitors from tracks across the region are eligible to
participate in the Mini Stock and Street Stock open 50-lap races, which
will not count towards Speedbowl track or NASCAR points. Rules packages
for the Mini Stock and Street Stock divisions are available on
Speedbowl.com.
Pit gates are set to open at 2:00pm on Friday with rotating practice
rounds for all four divisions commencing at 4:00pm. Qualifying races will
set the feature lineups and begin at 6:00pm. Opening ceremonies and the
first of four main events is scheduled for 7:00pm. Adult grandstand
admission is $15.00 and youth age 6 through 14 will be admitted for $6.00.
Belltown Tire and Auto Center will present the Little Guy 200 racing card.
