A double header of motorsports excitement is on tap at Wall Stadium Speedway this weekend with events scheduled for both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. On Saturday night (Aug. 16) auto racing will be the focus with qualifying events set for 5:45 p.m. and main events set for 7:00 p.m. On Sunday (Aug. 17) at 1:00 p.m. Monster Truck action, a Demolition Derby and a 50-lap stock car race will take center stage
On Saturday night the Factory Stocks will be in the spotlight in a double point 50-lap championship race, while the Sportsman racers will battle in a 30-lapper, the Legend Cars and the Limited Late Models will race in 25-lappers and the TQ Midgets and the Sunday Series Micro Stocks will also be on the card. The first ever “40 and Over” Legend Cars event will also be on the program.
On Sunday Monster Trucks, including After Shock, Krazy Train, Instigator and Back Draft, will see competition along with a $1500 to win Demolition Derby and a 50-lap double point championship race for the 4 Cylinder Stocks.
On Saturday, pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. with practice starting at 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying will start at 5:45 p.m. Main events for all divisions are scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
On Sunday, gates will open at 10:00 a.m. In addition to the on-track competition fans of all ages will have the opportunity to take a ride in a Monster Truck starting at 10:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day on Sunday. A Monster Truck bounce house, inflatable basketball game and train rides will be offered in the midway area.
Looking ahead to Saturday, August 23, Wall Stadium will honor all First Responders with area heroes with proper credentials admitted free of charge. In addition to the professional auto racing events, will get to see the Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger in the grandstand midway.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
