It all comes down to this Saturday night.

The Carolina Farm Credit 150 Season Finale will take place on Saturday at Bowman Gray Stadium, pitting each division in one final race before the champions are crowned. And the points battles at the Madhouse are some of the tightest ever.

In the Brad’s Golf Cars Modified Series, Jason Myers of Walnut Cove got caught up in a wreck during Saturday night’s first 50-lapper. Although he raced on, unseen damage from the incident resulted in engine problems during the second race. Myers had climbed up towards the front of the pack and was threatening to steal the win when he had to pull back and make a pit stop instead.

Without the mechanical issues, Myers may have finished well, he may have won – he might even have taken the points lead. Instead, Myers finished 18th. He stays second in the points standings but drops from one point out of the lead to 13 out of the lead.

Danny Bohn of Huntersville fought tooth and nail for the win in both races, and he was bumped out of the way twice during the second race alone. But he battled back to a seventh place finish, keeping him in the hunt for the championship. He’s only one point under Jason Myers.

Lee Jeffreys, on the other hand, hasn’t had a flashy season at all. He has yet to win a race, but he’s yet to really be involved in any controversial battles. He sits atop the points ladder with a small pad separating him from Myers and Bohn.

All three competitors are vying for their first championship – and it’s still anybody’s to grab. Myers and Bohn need only to finish four positions ahead of Jeffreys to take the title. And of course, Myers and Bohn will have to worry about each other as well.

In the Double D Construction Services Sportsman Series, Ryan Robertson of Winston-Salem continues to lead the way in the points standings. Robertson and rival Taylor Branch of Lewisville each had a wreck-filled night on Saturday. But when the dust settled, Branch lost three points to Robertson – keeping this race tight. Branch trails Robertson now by a total of 12 points, a difference of only three finish positions in this Saturday’s race.

Brian Wall of Winston-Salem was declared the winner in Saturday’s 20-lapper for the Q104.1 New Country Street Stock Series after the first four finishers were each penalized due to failing post-race technical inspection. Wall moves up to second in the points to challenge Chase Hunt of Lexington for the championship.

Hunt has a 28-point lead over Wall – quite an accomplishment considering that Hunt is a rookie in the Street Stock Division. Wall would need to finish seven positions ahead of Hunt to grab the title.

And in the Traffic Control Stadium Stock Series, Chuck Wall of Lexington enters Saturday’s final race as the points leader. A.J. Sanders of Mocksville has been steadily climbing in the rankings and now sits at second place, just eight points under Wall. If Sanders finishes only two positions ahead of Wall, he’ll be the Stadium Stock champ.

Make sure that you’re there on Saturday to see all the points battles for yourself. The Modifieds battle in the Carolina Farm Credit 150, plus there will be racing for the Sportsman, Street Stock, and Stadium Stock Divisions.

Ticket prices are just $10 for adults, $2 for children 6-11, and children 5 and under are free. Gates open at 6:00 for practice, and the first race begins at 8:00 PM – this Saturday night.
