Point races are tight in all of Wall Stadium Speedway’s auto racing division as the third mile high banked paved oval enters it’s final month of regular season competition. This Saturday (Sep. 6) evening grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. with qualifying events are set for 5:45 p.m. and main events set for 7:00 p.m.

Going into Saturday night’s Downs Ford Modified 40-lap main event defending champion Chas Okerson is at the top of the rankings but is followed closely by Trevor Alspach of Willingboro, Holmdel’s Andrew Krause, Shaun Carrig of Little Falls, Brick’s Shawna Ingraham, Eric Mauriello of Howell and Jackson’s Steven Reed.

The 4 Cylinder Stocks, where the point race is also tight, will also be in the spotlight Saturday in an extra-distance 50-lap feature race. Six-time winner James Meyers of Port Monmouth, Alonzo Morales of Burlington, Wall’s Cole Ormsbee and Mike Wahl of East Islip, N.Y. are all in contention for the crown.

Saturday's stock car bingo night, which offers fans the chance to win prizes, will also see the Sportsman, Limited Late Models and the Factory Stocks in racing action.

On Saturday, pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. with practice starting at 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying will start at 5:45 p.m. Main events for all divisions are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Of special note the speedway will celebrate “Fan Appreciation Night” with an “On Track Party” on Saturday, September 20 with all fans being invited onto the racing surface to meet the drivers and view the cars up close.
