This past Saturday, the management of Monadnock Speedway made the decision early to cancel the evening's event as severe storms were predicted to hit the region late afternoon into the evening.

This Saturday's rain out has eased the pressure for some competitors vying for the championship titles. Todd Patnode has unofficially captured the Sportsman Modified title and looks secure to claim the NASCAR Whelen All American Series NH State Championship. Super Stock competitor Tom Carey III, unofficially wrapped his title fifty point ahead of Dave Striebel as did Mini Stock competitor Mike Stebbins who is forty-four points ahead of former champion Chris McTaggart. Kyle Boniface also unofficially took the title for the Lightning Stocks. The Thunder Stock title is still up for grabs, Marshall Usher and Dave Greenslit will battle it out this Saturday with Greenslit trailing Usher by twenty-two points. The championship titles will be made official at the Super Saturday event on September 27th.

This weekend, Monadnock Speedway will be back in action hosting two events. On Saturday, September 13th, the high banked 1/4 mile track has a full venue planned for the Whelen Night event featuring all the speedway's division plus Pro 4 Modifieds, NE Race Trucks and NE Champ Karts. Race Time is at 6pm. On Sunday, September 14th, the speedway will host the monthly MudBog Mudslinger Series event. Mud starts flying at Noon.
