With a forecast of afternoon and evening showers in the area, Wall Stadium Speedway officials have cancelled the stock car racing card set for Saturday night (Sept. 13). It is the second straight weather related cancellation.
Wall Stadium will return to action this coming Saturday night (Sept. 20) with the Downs Ford Modifieds in a 40-lap main event. The Sportsman cars will also be on the card in a 30-lapper, with the Factory Stocks, 4 Cylinder Stocks, Legend Cars and the Limited Late Models all set for 25-lappers. A Ladies’ Race is also on the card. It will also be “Fan Appreciation Night” will fans invited to leave their grandstand seating to walk onto the famous oval speedway and visit with all the drivers and see the cars on the track up close.
On Saturday September 27 the speedway will present the “Double Points Showdown” with all six divisions in action on this the final regular season Saturday night. Driving champions will be determined and announced on this evening and due to the importance of the event a Saturday, October 4, rain date is in effect in the event of bad weather on September 27.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through September with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
