Laps are now on sale for the 3 races. Laps are $50 each, and when done, we take all the lap money at each race and pool it together to pay out a $5000 B Main. This way, all drivers go home with something.

Sunday, May 17- Lee

Saturday, June 13- Monadnock

Wednesday, July 1 - Seekonk

I will have a list of people who have already bought a lap up in the next few days.

Leave a post or send me a message if you want to pledge a lap now. No money is needed until April.

T shirts should go on sale for pre orders around February. $20 per shirt and goes directly to our $10,000 point fund.

Jim are the t shirts going to be a new design or the same as last year ? I am planning to go to the dog(Monadnock) and Seekonk so put me down for a lap at each. I will pay you at the icebreaker. Also did you collect money for the 2nd riverhead tour race last year. If yes are you putting toward this year ? Are you going Mahoning to the Icebreaker to open up the year up north? 4 1/2 hours. See you at the breaker.

Haven't designed them yet, but they will be designed by the same guy who did them last year.. Timmy Solomito!!!

Thanks for the two laps!!

The money we were going to hand out at Riverhead last September has been put away in a safe place, and will be handed out in June. We have no plans to raise lap money for the September race.

Plans right now, go to Mahoning, watch Matty win! Then head home without stopping for victory lane. Get 3 hours of sleep and head to ferry where my friend Craig will pick me up and I'll sleep in the truck as we go to Thompson.

this year we know what to expect , so I hope the haters aren't shocked when the WMT owners don't enter THIER teams this year. And are happy with who do

Any thought to not having a point fund. Just put all the cash into each race and make the largest payout possible.

limodmaniac
01-13-2015, 07:18 PM
The main reason to have a point fund is to get teams to commit to all 3 races.

Since we are renting the tracks to hold the races at Lee and Monadnock, we have a whole lot to lose on these races. So we want teams to show up there.

Of course, it would also be nice to take that 10 grand, and split it among Lee and Monadnock, and make those $10,000 to win races too.

Something to consider for next year ( if we survive this year)

But for now, we're happy with our payouts and we really appreciate the extra money from Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists to make this point fund possible.

I have one possible thought on putting an extra $5000 to the winner. If we can pack the track at either Lee or Monadnock, with at least 3000 fans, I will personally pull out an extra $5000 to the winner.

limodmaniac
01-13-2015, 07:42 PM
The challenge is on - If 3000 people pay to get in the track ( front and back gates) - at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, May 17, I will immediately pay the winner of the race an extra $5000 to bring his total to $10,000.

And if 3000 people pay to get in the track ( front and back gates) - at Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, June 13 , I will immediately pay the winner of the race an extra $5000 to bring his total to $10,000.

Who is ready to make me pay???

With Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer Repair putting up $2000 in lap leader money at each of the Tri Track Open Series races ($20 per lap) - it is now possible for the winner to take home $7000 at both Lee USA Speedway ( May 17) and Monadnock Speedway (June 13). And the July 1 show at Seekonk Speedway could be worth $12,000 to win. Of course, if the fan challenge is accepted and we pack Lee and Monadnock with 3000 race fans, those races too could now be worth $12,000 to win.

Tri Track Open Series t shirts are officially on sale for pre orders. We only order shirts that are pre ordered. We don't want extra shirts laying around that we can't sell. So send me a message, tell me what size you need and we will have the first order of shirts set to pick up in April at Thompson, Monadnock, or Stafford. Pay me when you see me ( or if you want, you can mail me check ahead of time.

$20 per shirt/ $22 if 2xL or larger, and $30 if you need any shirt mailed to you. ALL MONEY GOES DIRECTLY TO POINT FUND. If, I sell 500 shirts, I will add $1500 to the point fund , bringing it up to $11,500 point fund.

Whenever I hit the LONG LONG roads to race tracks FAR FAR away, I know I'll always have a Red Roof Inn to stop at and get a good night sleep. So whether I'm heading to the North South Shootout or Bowman Gray or Bristol.. or heading to Mahoning or Lancaster or Oswego, I know there's always a Red Roof nearby.

And now thanks to the support of the Red Roof, we are proud to announce the LONG LONG Tow Award to the three haulers that travel the farthest distance to the first race of the Tri Track Open Series at Lee USA Speedway. You MUST have your entry check in to me by March 1 to qualify. $500/$300/$200 to the three teams that travel the farthest.

Not sure when or if we will do a 2nd order. $20/$22 (2xL or larger) $25/$27(2xL or larger) for long sleeve t shirt. Pre order now, pay when you pick up the shirt.

Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer Repair has stepped up once again.

Originally agreeing to sponsoring the lap leader $20 per lap at Lee, Monadnock, and Seekonk, Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer Repair will now do the same for the B feature at Lee Speedway on May 17.

To top it off, the Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer Repair "Race to the Front" bonus will now be doubled at the first race of the series!!! Yes, that's right!! The leader of each lap in the 100 lap feature and the 25 lap B feature at Lee USA Speedway will take home $40 per lap.

This extra money means the winner of the 100 lap feature could possibly take home $9000 if he leads all laps, and the B feature winner could now take home $2000 if he does the same. On top of this, race promoter Jim Schaefer has promised to write a $5000 bonus check to the winner if he gets crowd support with 3000 paying adults at the front/back gates combined.

What a fantastic event last night was. The event of the year IMO. A packed house and a packed pit area that was a who's who of modified racing both present and past. A tip of the cap has to go to all of the PA and western NY teams that made the long haul to Seekonk. It was good seeing the 3 and Eric Beers reunited and charging to the front once again. Good clean racing all evening. That is a good thing too for the MRS teams that are heading to Monadnock tomorrow night. The NEMA race was very exciting too. Congrats to all those involved.

I virtually agree Mac - I read through the coverage on Speed51 (I think, can't find it now) and I really wished I were there. Lots of really good names in the field, a few surprises - heat races that actually meant something and cars in the consi's that really must have made for a great night of action. With names like McKennedy, Summers, Meservey, Holdridge in the B-main you can tell this was a quality field.

No it's not the tour (names) and it doesn't have to be - just reading the coverage made me think this was a really great event, one with throw back feel.. Great job to the participants, organizers and fans that supported the event. I hope there are more in the future.

Just goes to show ya, there are plenty of Modifieds out there wanting to race for decent cash and incentives.

If you are planning to go to the Sunday, Sept 13 NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series race at The New London-Waterford Speedbowl , and if you are going up the night before to either practice or watch the races, I have reserved a block of 20 rooms for Saturday night, Sept 12 at the Red Roof Inn New London . However, to get in on this block of rooms, you must call 1-800 - THE ROOF by August 12. Right now, rooms come in two types, 2 full beds ($93+, king bed ($93+),( already 8 rooms have been taken). you have to hold the room with a credit card but I believe you can cancel it up until 6 pm on the day of your stay. If you call and your room is not available, let me know and I will try to arrange for more rooms. When you call that number, you need to tell them you are looking to book a room under the block of rooms with the code B145NLWSB1 . To help me out, please post on here or send me a private message if you are going to take up this offer. We will be doing this again for the October race with a slightly different code. I am still waiting on the official schedule but looks like there will be optional practice for the modifieds both Saturday afternoon and evening of the 12th. Then again, from 12 to 1250 on Sunday. The October 25 NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series will have a very different format.

1. Non points race

2. Three modified races in all. Twin 35 lap "qualifying" features will pay out $3000 to win each. 11 in each "qualifier" will transfer. Most others will be sent home with $400 tow money.

3. "Feature race" will be 65 laps. $5000 to win .

4. There will be 4 provisionals. If our winners this year, do not transfer from their "qualifier", they will start at the rear. If they make it in the show, we will add cars based on the points of this season.

5. 34 teams that supported our first two shows at Lee and Monadnock ( tracks we rented) will receive our special thanks and a bonus of $200.

6. "Qualifying features" will be done by random draw. So, if 40 cars come, there would be 20 in each "qualifier" and someone may be unlucky to draw number 20, as will some lucky person start on the pole for 35 laps.

7. However, when it's time to line up for the 65 lap feature, there will be a twist. Basically, with out doing the math... if you started up front in your "qualiifier", you are starting deep in the field for the 65 lap race... and the opposite.. if you started way back in say 20th in the "qualifier", chances are you are starting up on the pole ( as long as you qualified in the top 11 in your "qualifier" )

8. Approx. $60,000 will be handed out to teams for this format.

Very nice!! Easily the event of the year in 2015. Grandstands and pits were packed. Good to see Tri-Track back from their Donny Lia (short lived) retirement.

Maybe the Seekonk Open winner will be one of the automatic qualifiers for the ROC 250 at Oswego in September. Hmmm...

Pre registration for the 2016 NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series season is officially open.

To register for all five races and be eligible for the Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists Point Fund, you should send check for $450 to LIMM Inc. and mail to James Schaefer at 545 Sweezy Ave. Riverhead, NY 11901.

Pre registration will also make you eligible for any bonus money that we are able to give out ( and we gave out a lot of bonus money in 2015!!!)

New this year, will also be a reduction in cost of tire money if you are pre registered. ($10 per tire/ at each race)

Last year, thanks to all who were involved, we were able to pay out over $280,000 for our five races.

Deadline for pre entry is Feb. 29. Any questions, contact me via facebook or email James Schaefer at js8x@aol.com.

If you are going to enter race by race, entry per race is $125 but must be in my hand at least two days before event. If not, we will charge a late entry fee of $200 and this will be taken out of the payout you earned racing. You will also not be handicapped into the heat races, but instead, start last in a heat. This is to encourage you to enter a race on time, and help us to correctly promote the event. There will not be a discounted tire rate if you enter race by race.

Thanks to Bryan Sherwood and Sherwood Racing Products - we will have a "hard charger" and "hard luck" award to hand out to pre registered drivers. The pre registered driver who leads the most laps in the feature will be the hard charger and will get a $60 certificate from Sherwood Racing Products. The hard luck award will go to the pre registered driver who just falls short of qualifying for the A feature and will also receive a $60 certificate from Sherwood Racing Products. This will apply to all five races on the NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series in 2016

Will have a few more race teams to announce in the next few days and thanks again to theose race teams who have contacted me and told me " the check is in the mail" I have it noted in my book as you being entered.. and will officially announce it when I receive the check.

Please note that Monday, Feb. 29 is the last day to pre register for the NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series. Please make sure you contact me before that date!!!! If anyone thinks there might be a driver out there who is interested in entering but hasn't yet, please share this!!!

Pre entry gets you point fund eligibility, bonus money, and discounted tire cost ($10 per tire)

If you are not pre entered, you can , of course, still enter race by race. Entry per race is $125. But don't wait til last minute to do this either. Entry to any of the races must be in hand two days before an event. Failure to do this on time, and you can still enter the day of the race , but entry will be $200 and you will start scratch in a heat race.

How to help "your guy" get a free tire at the first Tri Track race at Monadnock Speedway, on June 11. Pretty simple - buy a lap and put it on the lap of your driver with a message mentioning that driver's name. The lap can be sold multiple times. Let's see what driver can come out ahead in this race. The 4 drivers who have the most laps bought in their names will each get one free tire at Monadnock. Right now, Andy Seuss is in the lead with $200 in lap sales, Followed by Troy Talman , Bill Dixon, Andy Jankowiak Timmy Solomito and Ron Silk each with $100. Laps are $25 per race ( or if you want same lap for all five races $20x5=100 ) Laps can be purchased by driver, owner, crew, family, friend, fan, etc. We will announce the winners to this on April 30. (In case of a tie, we will draw out of hat)

If you are not one of the 53 pre entered teams, and if you are interested in running the June 11 Tri Track race at Monadnock, make sure you send entry money ($125) to LIMM Inc. I must have it in my hand by June 9. Anyone who enters after that must start scratch in their heat race, and then there will be a late entry fee of $200, which we will take out of your pay.

Also, if coming, you can contact Dan at Hoosier Tire East to pre order tires anytime after May 23.

Not sure if its possible but the the Bouchard tribute should be held later in the evening. How many people will be there by 4:30? That is some 4.5 hrs before the estimated start of the main event. Plus Monadnock shows always move quick. Anyway, just a suggestion. I know a lot of people who really want to see the tribute.

limodmaniac
06-05-2016, 08:47 PM
There was discussion on that. I think they wanted to keep the racing action moving once it starts. There's a lot of racing on the schedule for the night.

This is definitely a race you want to arrive early for , if possible. Monadnock usually fills up early rather than late the times I've been there.

Hopefully, this will motivate people to come early to the show.

As many of your know, scheduling races is NOT an easy thing - and therefore, unfortunately, the NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series race at Monadnock will not be rescheduled. However, the Ron Bouchard Tribute Race / NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series will be rescheduled as part of The New London-Waterford Speedbowl race on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The Sunday, Oct. 23 NorthEast Race Cars Tri Track Open Modified Series at The New London-Waterford Speedbowl will have a purse of almost $60,000. The format will be similar to last year's closing race - twin 35 lap qualifying features and a 65 lap feature. Different this year, will be that the 65 lap race segment will be a points race and totally decide our champion. Also, new this year, will be a last chance feature that will pay out money to every position. Also, similar to last year, the draw you get in your 35 lap feature will tell you where you will start in the 65 lap feature ( if you start deep in the field for the 35 lap race, you start up front in the 65 lap race, and if you start pole in the 35 lap feature, you will probably be starting 22nd in the 65 lap feature) Also, I will start taking an early attendance check to see if you plan to attend this final race. If you are not pre entered for our series, a check of $125 must be in my hand by Monday, Oct. 17. Any one who enters later than that, will have to start scratch in all races on race day.

If you are not pre entered for our series, a check of $125 must be in my hand by Monday, Oct. 17. Any one who enters later than that, will have to start scratch in all races on race day.

Hirschman 5 + 1 = 6 + 4 = 10*
Silk 2 + 4 = 6 + 11 = 17*
Pennink 3 + 7 = 10 + 10 = 20
Savary 7 + 19 = 26 + 2 = 28*
Perry 11 + 8 = 19 + 9 = 28
Jankowiak 14 + 6 = 20 + 12 = 32
Hinckley 4 + 2 = 6 + 27 = 33*
Bonsignore 5 + 25 = 30 + 6 = 36
Pitkat 6 + 33 = 39 + 3 = 42*
Pasteryak 12 + 12 = 24 + 18 = 42

* = mathematically can still win the championship

Remember, only the top three races count.. Last year, Hirschman was in situation like Pitkat is today. But he had great finish in last race and won championship. This year, he looks to have commanding lead, but a win by the others guys can change that fast.

Right now, we are at 48 cars coming to Seekonk ( I'm sure we will lose a few before the show for various reasons)

Looks like 20 will qualify from five heats, and then 6 more from one or two b features. And add in one promoters option

Instead of running a 28 car b feature, we may split it in half and run two b features, advancing the top the three from each

1. $10,000
2. $3,500
3. $2,500
4. $2,000
5. $1,500
6. $1,400
7. $1,300
8. $1,200
9. $1,100
10. $1,000
11. $900
12. $875
13. $850
14. $825
15 – 26 $800

Total - $38,550

Each B feature -
1- advance
2- advance
3- advance
4- $800
5- $750
6- $700
7- $650
8- $600
9- $550
10-$500
11-$500
12-$500
13-$500
14-$500

Total b feature = 6550 x 2 = $13,100

Total payout = $51,650 for total of 48 cars

Its JUNE 27TH NOT JULY

You are incorrect. The Star 125 is always run the last weekend of July (28th this year if they don't move it). Lee went ahead and scheduled the modified racing series the night before on the 27 of July. The Seekonk race is the end of June.

Actually, the SBM was run in early June for many years, but then we moved it to the end of July when the ROC scheduled a race on that date in June..

Never easy finding open dates.

Personally, I still think the SBM can run that same weekend at end of July. But, waiting on word from Star.

Right now,

So far, we have 3 races scheduled for 2018. ( Hoping for Star, and for Waterford too)

I agree, run it the end of July. Lee should have little to no impact on Star. You could even announce the race date for 2019 to avoid this issue next year. Very uncool on the part of MRS and Lee. It's Christmas though, time for Star to make a decision

Pure guess here but since Star's supers schedule was just released and they weren't scheduled for July 28th I'm guessing that date is out. Fingers crossed for July 14th now.
