This coming Saturday evening, May 30, Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton has a complete six division show of stock car racing on tap plus a Small Car Enduro.
The night begins with all regular track classes, Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks running heats and features. Race time is 6:00 pm.
At the conclusion of those classes being run, a Small Car Enduro will be held. The timed event is open to all front-wheel drive 4-cylinder cars. There is a $50 entry fee for the Enduro racers. Enduro rules are posted on the track’s website.
Also, there will be a Car Cruise taking place. Anyone with a custom rod/classic or specialty vehicle is invited to bring their car to the track for display starting at 4:00 pm. Then during intermission they will be allowed to cruise the speedway. Anyone who enters the Car Cruise will be admitted free to the races.
Kids Big Wheels will also take place immediately following the Car Cruise on-track activity.
Race teams can take advantage of early paid practice which takes place from 12:30 to 3:00. Fee is $25 per car. Regular warm-ups will then get underway shortly after 4:00 pm.
Grandstands open at 4:00. Adult admission is $12, there is a $2 off discount for students, seniors 65+ and active military. Must have ID. Children 10 years old and under are free.
