What looked to be a great weather day for racing took an extreme turn from what was originally forecasted in Southern New Hampshire for this past Saturday. After rain continued to fall past 3pm, the management of Monadnock Speedway was forced to cancel the Firecrcaker 100 Special Event. Due to curfew set in place by the town, the delay the rain had created along with the possibility of dew and fog setting in later that evening, it was decided it would be impossible for the whole event to be completed.

Due to the Valenti Modified Series being booked until the end of the season, they will not be able to return for a make up race. The Valenti Modified Tour is scheduled to return to the high banks on August 22, 2015 for the Victor Johnson Memorial Race.

The Fireworks that were scheduled for this past Saturday will be held this Saturday, July 11th. The upcoming event will be filled with plenty of action as the Northeast Street Stock Tour takes to the track for their first time along with the weekly division. The speedway will also host the annual Open Track Party and Heroes of Yester Year Event. The Open Track Party will be held from 5pm-6pm where the fans go trackside to meet the stars of Monadnock Speedway and see their cars up close. It is also the speedway's Christmas In July event where fans who bring in an unwrapped toy will be entered to win 2 tickets to the Upcoming Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Racing action will start immediately after the Open Track Party with the evening concluding with fireworks by Atlas Pyrotechnics.
