Auto racing fans have a big event to look forward to this Saturday (July 18) with six divisions of racecars competing on two different oval speedways during Snap-on Tools Night action. Current plans call for spectator seating to open at 5:00 p.m., with postponed Sportsman and Factory Stock main events slated for 5:30 p.m. before the night’s regularly schedule qualifying. Regularly scheduled main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m.

On the famous third mile high-banked paved oval the Downs Ford Modifieds will lead the way in a 50-lap main event. It is the final Triple Crown race for the Modifieds with sponsor Downs Ford presenting the mini-series champion a $1,000 bonus.

The Snap-on Sportsman racers will compete in two feature races, the first postponed from July 11, while the regularly scheduled race will be their second Triple Crown 40-lapper. The O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks also battle in two main events, one regularly scheduled and one rain postponed from earlier this season. The Green Monster Insulation 4 Cylinder Stocks will also battle in a main event on the big oval.

Sportsman and Factory Stocks winners from the regularly scheduled main events will earn gift certificates from Snap-on while several fans will also enjoy giveaways.

Debuting on the fifth mile inner oval will be the wingless TQ Midgets in their first ever race on the inner track. Also racing on the inside oval will be the Pro 2 Modifieds making their first ever start at the speedway.

A large contingent of guests from Sportsman division sponsor Snap-on Tools will be on hand to enjoy the action and fans are invited to wear their best country style clothing for country music night. Fans who are brave enough are also invited to try their luck at riding a Mechanical Bull during the evening. Vintage racecars for the 1960’s and 1970’s will also be on display.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m.

Sportsman and Factory Stock postponed main events will then begin at 5:30 p.m. to be followed by regularly scheduled qualifying and feature race action for all divisions slated for 7:00 p.m.
