Super Stock and Late Model races added to late August dates

Lancaster National Speedway officials have made changes to the late season schedule for the Seneca Resorts & Casinos Saturday Night Stock Car program.

The Super Stock division has been added to Autograph Night presented by Thomann Asphalt on Saturday, August 22. The race will be sanctioned by Lancaster National Speedway. Super Stocks participating in this event and the US Open events must participate as a Big 10 or NYSS Super Stock. Only the rules as published by those sanctions will apply for those events and participants must declare which type of car they are competing with. Track officials have been working closely with both series for the past few weeks to try get them on the same page for a unified Super Stock series in 2016.

Lancaster has hosted three Big 10 Super Stock Series races already in 2015. Joe Mancuso of Buffalo won the first two with Jake Wylie of Blasdell winning the most recent event. Teams from across New York and Pennsylvania have attended all three races.

The X-Press Signs Late Models will now be a part of the regular season finale on Saturday, August 29 presented by 10-75 Emergency Lighting. The Late Models had an exceptional turn out for their first event of the season with 15 cars in attendance. This will be the third race of the year for the division at Lancaster with their next event scheduled for August 8.

Lancaster National Speedway's three home track divisions, Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4-Cylinders, will also be in action on the those dates.

These added events will be valuable for teams planning on attending the 27th annual U.S. Open at Lancaster on September 25-27. It will give them extra track time under race conditions on the facility's improved racing surface.

Founded in 1959, Lancaster National Speedway is a multi-use facility located on 77 acres just outside of metropolitan Buffalo, NY. The facility features a 1/8-mile drag, a 5/8-mile oval track and hosts several non-motorsports events such as car shows and concerts.
