While the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season still has 6 races left, Stafford Motor Speedway officials already have their eyes on the 2016 season. The track has released the 2016 rules for its premier SK Modified® division with two changes from the 2015 season.
The first change from the 2015 season for the SK Modified® division deals with Hoods / Roof. Per rule 20E-3.8 Hoods / Roof, all roof panels must be made of magnetic sheet steel, or be a Stafford Motor Speedway approved manufactured fiberglass roof panel. All cars utilizing an approved fiberglass roof must install the (minimum) 1/8” thick aluminum anti-intrusion plate in the roll cage halo.
The second rule change deals with rule 20E 6.1 Ignition System, which states only MSD #8727CT or #8728 External RPM limiters may be used.
