Driving championships for all six auto racing divisions are still up for grabs and will be determined this Saturday evening (Sept. 26) as Wall Stadium Speedway presents “Champions Night.” Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. with qualifying beginning at 5:30 p.m. and main event action to follow. Fans are urged to bring banners for their favorite drivers and teams as the evening will also feature “Banner Night” judging.

In the Downs Ford Modified ranks Jackson’s Steven Reed is at the top of the point rankings as he seeks his first ever crown. Still, Reed’s brother in law, ten-time track champion Chas Okerson of Freehold and Howell’s Eric Mauriello are within striking distance.

Defending champion Kevin Davison of Howell, Manchester’s Shanon Mongeau and Holmdel’s Andrew Krause are at the top of the Snap-on Sportsman chase going into Saturday’s double point 25-lapper. Brick’s Joe Mongeau and Union’s Joey Helberg lead the O’Shea Auto Repair Factory Stock points going into the night’s 25-lap headliner.

The Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars find defending champ Brian Spencer of Edison and Howell’s Robert French locked in a battle for the title with one 25-lap race remaining. In the Green Monster Insulation 4 Cylinder Stocks Ronnie Mullen and Jason Lane, both of Brick, and Wall’s TJ Graves are the top point drivers going into Saturday’s 25-lap point finale.

Anthony Crimaldi of Port Monmouth leads the Elite Maintenance Limited Late Model points with former champs Howie Conk of Jackson and Brian Doyle of Ronkonkoma, N.Y. close behind with just one regular season 25-lapper remaining.

In addition to the regular divisions the Over 40 Legends will compete in an exhibition race and the beautifully restored cars of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will also be on hand on Saturday.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:30 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying starts at 5:30 p.m. with main events to follow.
