This may be old news for some but as first reported by race chaser online it appears the tour is heading back to Seekonk:
SEEKONK, Mass. — Story by Race Chaser Online New England Correspondent Kyle Souza –
Ever since the Seekonk Speedway announced they would be going NASCAR sanctioned in 2016, questions have been flying left and right on if the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour would be coming to town.
The answer to that question for 2015 was no, with the sanction only coming on board in February it simply would not have been enough for the work to make it come together.
Now, with 2016 closing in, it appears fans may be able to witness NASCAR’s greatest modified stars on the 1/3 mile track. According to multiple sources at the track, the Seekonk Speedway has secured a primary sponsor for the 2016 event and is looking for a date to hold the tour.
