The first racer ever to race in the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, one an IndyCar race and the other a NASCAR Sprint Cup race, all on the same day will be a part of the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2016 Fueled by Sunoco Race Fuels and Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show. John Andretti, a winner in both IndyCar and NASCAR Sprint Cup racing will be appearing at the 31st edition of the giant motorsports event set to take place January 22nd thru January 24th at Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. John’s son Jarett, a rising star in United States Auto Club racing, will be joining his dad for their Friday and Saturday appearances.

Both John and Jarett will do question and answer sessions with the fans at the main stage area and then be signing autographs at the Coastal 181 Publishing display area both days.

John will be autographing copies of The Stinger, a coffee table size book that is a centennial tribute to the Indianapolis 500. Andretti wrote the foreword in the book. In addition there will be copies of the new “Foyt, Andretti, Petty: America’s Racing Trinity” available. John’s uncle Mario Andretti is a big part of this book. In fact Coastal 181 will have a large selection of books available.

Andretti, son of Mario Andretti’s twin brother Aldo, was a winner in one Indianapolis car event, that happening in 1991 when he finished first in the CART sanctioned Gold Coast Grand Prix in Surfer’s Paradise, Australia.

The 52-year-old racer also has the unique distinction of having driven in a Top Fuel Dragster in an NHRA National Event and to qualify and race in the Indianapolis 500. Only two other drivers have done that, Danny Ongais and Art Malone.

Andretti’s record in NASCAR Sprint Cup racing included a win in the 1997 Pepsi 400 at Daytona and the 1999 Goody’s Body Pain 500 at Martinsville. He raced in 393 races during his 17 years in Cup racing.

Showing that John was multi-talented the veteran racer co-drove a BMW M12March with Davey Jones to victory in the Kodak Copier 500 at Watkins Glen n 1986.

John and Jarett will be joining an impressive array of racers and sports personalities that will be part of the three day show. NASCAR Sprint Cup star Kyle Larson will be there along with USAC racing standout Dave Darland, NASCAR Hall of Famer Bud Moore and others will be there with others to announced.

Just recently added to the show is Kyle Larson’s Parker Stores NASCAR Xfinity race car along with an IndyCar racer in the Pocono Raceway display.

Metal Fab, a well-known member of the motorsports industry, will once again be sponsoring the annual Family Day activities on Sunday and will include Big Wheel Racing for youngsters and the Little Miss Motorsports Pageant.

And the Bowes Seal Fast Champ Car will be on display. The car was raced by a number of outstanding talents several years back including Jud Larson at Syracuse. The #9 sat on the pole for a Syracuse Dirt Track race in 1958.

A highlight of the show will be great memories of the New York State Fairgrounds “Moody Mile” which will feature a display of race cars from past events at the “Moody Mile” along with many drivers who challenged the track over the years.

Always a very popular event is the Ms. Motorsports Pageant on Saturday. Again this year Oliver Construction Enterprises will sponsor the event. Ladies wishing to participate in the Pageant are invited to call the show office at 609.888.3618 for all details.

Included in the show will be more than 600 exhibitor booths offering products and services for the racers along with items of interest for fans including a huge array of collectibles. Many speedways and sanctioning organizations will be offering information on their events planned for the 2016 season with several using the show to release their schedules.

More than 200 motorsports vehicles representing drag racing, NASCAR Sprint Cup and everything in between including dirt track racers, motorcycles and more will be on display throughout the show. The very classy Crowne Plaza Valley Forge will serve as the host hotel and will again offer a discounted rate. The hotel is located just 7.5 miles from the Expo Center and is within walking distance of the popular King of Prussia Mall, the nation’s second largest retail complex with over 350 stores and close to 100 restaurants.

Again this year the Saturday night post show gathering will continue and will be held in one of the large ballrooms at the hotel with music by DJ Sound and Lighting and bar specials from show sponsor Miller Lite.
